Flow wrapping
This premium pastry producer faced increasing pressure to scale production while maintaining the delicate handling required for its handmade-style baked goods. With rising labour costs and a need for more consistent output, the company needed a solution that could increase throughput and protect product integrity.
The result was a seamless flow-wrapping solution powered by robotics, vision systems, and Schubert’s modular packaging platform. The new system now flow-wraps up to 180 pastries per minute, eliminating the need for manual placement and ensuring consistent, hygienic handling. Robotic grippers and 3D vision systems identify and orient each pastry with minimal contact, significantly reducing product waste and preserving quality. By reducing manual input and improving changeover times, the customer has future-proofed their production line and improved overall packaging ROI.
