Cobot tog.519 wins the World Confectionery Conference Award 2025

A milestone achievement for Schubert: The Cobot tog.519 has been honored with the World Confectionery Conference Award 2025. On September 11, 2025, Olivia Collyer and Tim Jäger accepted the award in Brussels.

An international platform for innovation

The World Confectionery Conference is a key event for the global confectionery, snack and bakery industries. It brings together delegates and suppliers from around the world, featuring keynote presentations, trend insights, an exhibition, networking opportunities and the presentation of the Industry Awards. The event is organized by the publishers of „Confectionery Production“, the leading monthly journal for the confectionery, chocolate, sweet bakery and snack industries since 1934.

The award is presented in various categories by a panel of experts from the magazine:

  • Sustainability
  • Equipment Innovation
  • Team of the Year
  • Ingredients Innovation
  • Finished Product Innovation
  • Emerging enterprise of the year

We won in the Equipment Innovation category.

Redefining automation

Unlike conventional cobots, the award-winning tog.519 was designed for autonomous, high-performance tasks in compact production environments. With a footprint of just six square meters and a speed of up to 90 picks per minute, it sets new standards in packaging automation. Its advanced vision system identifies unsorted products directly from chaotic infeed streams and places them with precision – without the need for prior sorting. Tool changes can be carried out at the touch of a button, allowing the system to adapt instantly to new product types or formats.

Proven in industrial practice

The Cobot tog.519 has already demonstrated its advantages in real-world production. At co-packer MultiPac, it handles tubes, pens, and clips that previously had to be packed manually. This significantly increases efficiency while reducing reliance on manual labor. An integrated safety logic monitors the environment and ensures operator protection. Combined with a protective enclosure, the cobot consistently delivers its maximum output.

To the Case Study

A future-ready solution from Schubert

Building on Schubert’s 50-year tradition of pioneering packaging technology and its “we all tog.ether” philosophy that harmonizes human, robot, and machine collaboration, the tog.519 is more than just a product. It is a modular and future-proof solution that drives the next stage of intelligent manufacturing. The award in Brussels underlines this achievement and confirms the cobot’s importance for the entire industry.

Schubert wins coveted ‘Lean & Green Management Award’

When pragmatic thinking meets ecological entrepreneurship, success soon follows. Gerhard Schubert GmbH took part in an assessment carried out by the T&O Group management consultancy for the first time and it emerged as the overall winner of the ‘Lean & Green Management Award’ in the ‘Lean & Green Excellence’ category. The successful completion of the in-depth assessment clearly shows that Schubert is solution-oriented and sustainable through and through – thanks to a culture that truly lives both values rather than just making them part of the system.
