Together with the Hohenloher Tagblatt newspaper, Schubert presented the proud winners with their awards. “Our jury, which included members of the Schubert family and the newspaper editorial team, were very impressed with your works of art,” said Franziska Schubert, co-organiser of the contest. “We also found it inspiring that many of you gave some thought on both topics and combined them on paper. We are delighted to have this opportunity to congratulate you on your wins.”
The kids who won could decide whether they wanted tickets for themselves and their families for the “Eins + Alles” amusement and adventure park in the idyllic Welzenheim Forest or the experimenta Science Centre in Heilbronn. The decisions in favour of one of the two attractions were fairly balanced. Franziska Schubert adds: “We also had participants from northern Germany and other even more distant locations. Unfortunately, they couldn’t attend the award ceremony, but they received their tickets by mail.”
Ralf Schubert, Managing Partner, took time to personally give the young guests insight into the company and the world of packaging.
Exciting activities followed the award ceremony
After the prize tickets were handed over, the winning kids had their photographs taken together with the contest organisers – and the many works of art were also photographed. After enjoying some refreshments, the children were treated to an exciting look behind the scenes. Together with Franziska Schubert and Carolin Dierolf, they first made their own packaging for erecting – just like the machines would normally do. They could then fill them with sweets. Finally, the participants were invited to take a look at the paint shop and a hall where the 3D printing machines are located. On the way through the factory, the young visitors also had an opportunity to see one or two robots, which was especially exciting for them.
Ralf Schubert, Managing Partner, explains: “Packaging is undoubtedly one of the most important topics for the future – especially in terms of sustainability – which we as a company prioritise. After the kids had given so much thought to the topic for the painting contest, we wanted to offer them some insight into how a modern packaging company works – and on what we are doing to ensure a liveable environment for future generations. We are delighted that we were able to inspire the children and their guardians.”
